Place near a well-lit window away from direct heat sources on a protected surface
Upon arrival, water moderately with luke warm water, water sparingly before buds appear, keeping soil slightly moist, after buds appear water a few times a week, but avoid overwatering
To promote reblooming next year, cut the flower stalks after blooming an inch or 2 above the bulb, keeping the leaves intact, transplant to a slightly larger pot, keeping original soil around the bulb and water as needed, fertilizing with a water-soluble fertilizer once a month, once danger of frost has placed, place potted amaryllis in a semi-shade location
Late summer, stop watering, allow the foilage to wither and cut the leaves off, store in a cool, dry place for 6-weeks to 8-weeks and then move to a well-lit, warm area and resume watering once growth begins
